Teancum Faumui
LCSW, Co-Owner
My name is Teancum Faumui. I have worked in the Mental health field in various capacities for 8 years, 4 of which as a licensed therapist. I am passionate about helping people work through their various struggles, find answers for themselves, and give them the tools needed to live life the way they want to. I specialize in working with kids (usually age 8-18) in helping them manage mental health, family struggles, behavior problems, and helping them find who they are. I currently work closely with Utah Valley Pediatrics in assisting them in treating the mental health struggles of those in their various clinics. I also work with teens and adults with porn use problems and unwanted negative sexual behavior or sex addiction. As a CSAT and a few years of experiences working in residential and outpatient treatment, I am happy to help you with your problematic sexual struggles. In addition to these two specialities I also work well with depression, anxiety, life stress, life transitions, mens mental health, cultural identity and formation, and religious transitions or faith crisis struggles. As a Samoan clinician, I understand the cultural background and experience of minorities and how to navigate life as a person of color. Having gone to school and worked in Utah there are a lot of aspects that the dominant religion interact with and influence. That can be great for some and very difficult for others. For those struggling with their faith and trying to make sense of it, I am happy to help you through that journey. I have worked in many settings including residential treatment, hospital emergency department, school settings, and at Wasatch Behavioral health. I use some aspects of CBT, ACT, DBT, and motivational interviewing in my therapy work.
If you feel I would be a good fit for you, please reach out and I would be happy to call for a free consultation to make sure we are a good fit.
Tyson Faumui
LCSW, Co-Owner
My name is Tyson Faumui, and I have worked in the mental health field for 8 years in various capacities, but 4 years as a therapist. I have worked with individuals having many mental health struggles including life transitions, anxiety, depression, behavioral struggles, emotional regulation challenges, relationship struggles and family difficulties. I have worked in a few different settings including residential treatment, community mental health, and crisis work. I have worked with many different populations and am open to working with most mental health challenges. My first speciality is working with youth and young adults ranging in age from 12-24 that struggle with mental health, emotional regulation, and life transition difficulties. I also work well with adults having relationship challenges as well as mens mental health. Being half Samoan myself, I also specialize in helping individuals work through cultural challenges and learning to navigate life with a different cultural background. As a Samoan clinician I use my personal experiences and education to help people navigate these experiences in a healthy way.
I am a client centered therapist who uses DBT, CBT, Mindfulness, MRT and solution focused modalities. My goal is to build a collaborative approach to resolving mental, emotional, relational or life struggles.
Therapy has been very rewarding work. I find joy in assisting clients to understand the obstacles they are facing in life and helping them find solutions. My hope is that in our time together I am able to help you learn skills to more effectively manage your mental health and life stressors in the future.
